It’s almost Girl Scout cookie season. Here’s how you can get them in Dallas-Fort Worth

If winter blues or record-breaking heat oppresses you, you may just be lucky.

Girl Scout cookie season is just around the corner, offering plenty of nostalgic confections for $5 or $6 a box.

Ordering your favorite cookie will not only satisfy your sweet tooth. You will also support Girl Scout Troops in North Texas by funding STEM programs, camping trips, and community projects.

“Each box of Girl Scout cookies you purchase will help us innovate and reimagine Girl Scouts for the future,” Jennifer Borkowski, CEO of Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, said in a written statement. “We are focused on empowering girls as they look to the future, creating more opportunities for girls to lead in their communities.”

Biscuit sales represent the world’s largest female-led entrepreneurial program, according to Girl Scouts. Almost all income remains in the local community.

Here’s your guide to the 2023 cookie season, including when it starts, what flavors are available, and where to get them:

When will the 2023 season start?

In North Texas, individual and digital cookie sales begin Friday, and organized kiosk sales begin January 27th.

Public cookie sales will end on February 26th and digital cookies on March 5th.

What are the flavors of 2023 and how much do they cost?

In addition to classics like Thin Mints and Samoas, a new flavor is joining the cookie line this year. The Raspberry Rally is a berry version of the traditional Thin Mint and will only be available for digital orders starting February 27th.

And Dallas and Fort Worth sell cookies in every flavor, according to the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. The region is one of the few regions in the country that receives offers from both licensed bakers, Dallas-based Little Brownie Bakers and Fort Worth-based ABC Bakers.

The two bakers are also the reason why Girl Scout cookies don’t look or taste the same. For example, while Dallas County residents receive Samoan products, Tarrant County customers receive similar packages of Caramel deLites.

Cookies can be purchased online through the Digital Cookie Platform through individual Girl Scouts. There is also an app for iPhone and Android.

The cookie line includes: Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Samoas, Toffee-tastics, Adventurefuls, Lemon-ups, Trefoils, Do-si-dos, S’mores and the new Raspberry Rally cookie.

Each box of cookies costs $5, except for Toffee-tastics and S’mores, which cost $6.

Where can you buy them in person?

To find a kiosk near you, enter your zip code in the Girl Scout Cookie Finder. You can also text “COOKIES” to 59618 to receive updates on Girl Scout cookies.

Near downtown Dallas, Girl Scouts will sell cookies at the Sweet Tooth Hotel, 1511 Elm St., Suite 100, starting Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and weekends from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
