The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is at the scene of an apparent homicide Tuesday afternoon. KCPD says the incident occurred at 3600 Wabash Ave, near the intersection of 35th and Prospect Ave. Just after 1:45 p.m., officers were called regarding the sounds of gunfire. The call was upgraded to a shooting. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered the victim, an adult male, with obvious gunshot wounds. A KCPD officer began life-saving measures until EMS arrived. EMS transported the victim to hospital. A short time later the victim was pronounced dead. No information about the victim or suspect has been released at this time. Homicide detectives are examining the evidence and looking for information. Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 816-234-5043.
