KANSAS CITY, Mo. — SONIC Drive-Ins add a taste of Kansas City to the menu.
The popular fast food chain is debuting BBQ Chip Seasoned Tots at some of its 3,500 drive-in restaurants and they’re now available in the Kansas City area.
SONIC claims that babies have a similar sweet-salty coating to barbecued chips.
“At SONIC, we love to combine different flavors and textures to create items that are unique and mouthwatering,” said Mackenzie Gibson, SONIC’s Vice President of Culinary Innovation and Menus. “Our new BBQ Chip Seasoned Tots are a tasty twist on the classic SONIC Tots with the crunchy, tangy, savory goodness of a BBQ chip – taking our Tots to a whole new level!”
The new BBQ Chip Seasoned Tots are only available through the SONIC app until February 26th. Starting Monday, they’ll be available to customers nationwide who aren’t using the app.
Orders start at $2.59. Babies are only available through April 30 or while supplies last.
BBQ Chip Seasoned Tots might not be the only creation SONIC has planned for guests this year.
According to restaurantbusinessonline.com, Sonic is also considering adding dill-and-pickle-seasoned babies, drizzled with sweet heat and drizzled with garlicky Parmesan.
