Nebraska baseball later this week added four more new commitments to future classes before starting its season on Friday night.
The Huskers got commitments from a pair of 2024 prospects in third baseman/pitcher Dane Most (Broomfield, Colorado) and infielder/right Adam Kayko (Johnston, Iowa). Both are considered powerful and ranked among the top 100 third basemen in the nation in their class by Perfect Game. Kayko is a lefty bat.
NU also brought on board two 2025 pitchers in lefty Brett Hoelscher (Papillion-La Vista) and righty Ty Miller (Olathe West at Kansas). Hoelscher has top-end speed for his age with a mid-80s fastball, while the 6-foot-5, 185-pound Miller is coming off a dominant fall season — no earned runs allowed in 23 innings — and also plays first base.
Nebraska has added a dozen new commitments across four classes since the calendar moved to 2023, with many earning deals and joining the team’s prospect camp last month.
