SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the second person killed in a shootout in West Bexar County last week.
Nicholas Sharkey Phillips, 48 was killed before 2 am on Thursday in the 5500 Mansions Bluff block, off Highway 90 and Highway 211. The shooting occurred outside the gates of the Villages of Briggs Ranch residential complex.
BCSO deputies said they arrived at the scene to find Phillips and Michael Bernard Moore, 52, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to deputies, it is likely that a dispute over car keys led to the shooting, and the suspect and the victims knew each other.
suspect woman, Sheris Wylie-Taylor, 42 years old, was arrested the same day on charges of capital murder.
Deputies said Wylie-Taylor initially claimed to have witnessed the shooting, but after speaking with deputies on the spot, it became apparent that she was a suspect. Before her arrest, she was detained and taken for interrogation.
Sheriff Javier Salazar said his office is also looking for Wylie-Taylor’s son, Deleon Malik Taylor-Griffin, 25, who is involved in the case.
