South Austin home completely lost in morning fire

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A home in south Austin was destroyed early Tuesday morning in a fire.

Austin Fire Department tweeted at 6:35 a.m. that he responded to a fire in the 4500 building of the Eric Circle block, which is located near Pleasant Valley Road.

The fire was coming through the roof of the house when the fire department arrived, the tweet said.

One person was inside and was evacuated by Austin police. No injuries were reported.

The AFD stated that the house was completely lost.

The fire was extinguished around 6:35 am, but crews were still cleaning up the scene.

At the time, Pleasant Valley Road was blocked between Revere Road and Franklin Park Drive.
