HOUSTON (KIAH) Southbound I-45 remains closed. Stop and go speeds are visible on the front road.
Early this morning on I-45 southbound Shepard Hill Road, an 18-wheeler crashed and spilled a hazardous substance. He continues to be investigated, and the entrance to the freeway is completely closed.
After the accident, 200 gallons of diesel fuel that was being carried by an 18-wheeler truck began to spill onto the roadway. The driver of this 18-wheeler is in stable condition.
The roadway will be closed until they complete their investigation and clear the scene.
