Bill was born February 25, 1929 in Everton Missouri, he was the third child of the late George Dewey Casey and Olive Mae (Bell). He grew up on the family farm’s farm; he attended the one-room Carlock School, then graduated from high school in Dadeville.

Bill enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially baseball, loved to play cribbage with anyone who wanted to play with him, and Pinochle with his friends—a trip to the casinos wasn’t out of the question.
