Theft by deception
January 3, 00:30: Soldiers were sent to Maris Grove in Concord Township to report a theft. The victim, an 85-year-old, was found to have been scammed out of $10,000 in various denominations.
Goose in the street
January 4, 12:01: Interstate 95 North at mileage 8.6 a 2019 Nissan Rogue was traveling in the center lane and swerved to avoid a goose in the roadway. The operator lost control and the vehicle hit the concrete barrier. There were no injuries to the driver or a child passenger. There was a dead goose in the middle lane.
Retail theft
January 9, 17:47: At the AT&T store at 1700 Wilmington Pike, a woman left the store with two Apple iPhone 14 Pro cell phones without paying. The loss is estimated at $2,100.
Theft by deception
14 January, 3.00 pm: On Concord Road in Concord Township, someone used the identity of a Garnet Valley man to set up accounts with TD Bank and T-Mobile.
Theft
January 18, 9:32 am: Soldiers were contacted by Professional Plumbing Group about reports of two males going through the company dumpster and taking what appeared to be scrap metal. They also attempted to break into the locked shed located next to the dumpster.
DUI
January 27, 10:32 pm: The driver of a 2000 Geo Prizm has been observed to violate multiple traffic laws. An arrest occurred and the driver, Daniqua Tolson, 39, of Severna Park, Maryland, was found to be under the influence.
DUI
January 28, 11:27 pm: State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on the North Bypass at mileage 38.8. The 22-year-old driving a 2017 Toyota Corolla by Media has been arrested for drunk driving.
Vehicle theft
22 December, 2.30pm: PSP has been contacted regarding the theft of a red 2015 Ford Fusion from the Plaza at Chadds Ford parking lot. The vehicle was later located at a body shop in Delaware.
A police car was hit
February 7: 5:53 pm: State Police unit K243 was hit while turning northbound on State Route 1. A 2019 GMC Terrain was traveling south and attempted to make a left turn on Donovan Drive, made a dangerous turn and struck the state trooper vehicle, which was approaching the intersection. All occupants were treated on the spot and sought further medical treatment at local hospitals.
Accident with DUI
February 10, 21:45: Interstate 476 exit 1 towards MacDade Boulevard a 1994 Harley Davidson Dyna-Glide collided with a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The 66-year-old Lindwood motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Crozer Chester and charged with driving under the effect of a controlled substance. No injuries to the other driver.
Barcode caper
February 10, 2.45pm: At Costco on the 700 block of Evergreen Drive in Concord Township, soldiers were called to report a theft in progress. The carabinieri waited for the man to leave the shop. Once Taso Solanakis, 57, of West Chester walked out of the store, the Troopers discovered two LG TVs worth $950 each and replaced them with $370 worth of barcodes. He was placed under arrest.
Annoying quote
February 11, 8:21 am: State Police responded to the 600 block of North Heilbron Drive in Middletown Township to a report of an activated alarm. It was determined to be false, and following 3 or more false alarms in a 12-month period, a subpoena was filed in District Court against the 70-year-old male homeowner.
