Overland Park, Consolidated Fire District No. 2, and Shawnee Firefighters responded at the 6300 block of West 66th Terrace shortly before 5:00 p.m.
Arriving firefighters reported smoke coming from the one-story house, a few blocks south of Shawnee Mission Parkway.
Anyone inside was able to evacuate safely.
The fire was extinguished in about 45 minutes.
