A Wichita Falls woman pleaded guilty Thursday to forging a check belonging to a former home health care client and abandoning three young children, court documents show.
Antreka Shanquel Rucker admitted to violating the terms of her probation on Thursday and a judge sentenced her, according to court documents.
89th District Judge Charles Barnard sentenced Rucker to two years in prison for forgery and six months in a state prison facility for abandoning or endangering a 5-month-old, 1-year-old and 3-year-old by leaving them alone in an apartment on 15 November 2017, according to court documents.

Rucker will receive 45 days of discounted jail credit. Counterfeiting is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Abandonment or endangerment of the child carries a sentence of up to two years in state prison.
In the forgery case, Rucker processed a $10 check from a 75-year-old into a check for $100 in connection with an October 24, 2012, incident, court documents show.
She pleaded guilty, and on August 2, 2018, she was subjected to three years of deferred probation for forgery and three counts of child neglect. Had Rucker successfully completed the terms of her probation, she would have avoided felony convictions for forgery and child neglect.
