Corinne M. Robinson Obituary – Topeka Capital-Journal

Corinne M. Robinson, age 81, of Auburn, KS passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was born on January 9, 1942 in Auburn, KS, the daughter of Clarence and Fern (Dornes) Shane. She attended school in Auburn graduating from Auburn High School in 1960.

She was married to Orville Dean Robinson on June 30, 1963 in Auburn, KS. They shared over fifty-nine years of a wonderful marriage.

After their marriage she moved to Hawaii where her husband was stationed in the US Navy. They also lived in Wichita and Topeka before buying the family farm near Auburn in 1980.

There is nothing Corinne loved more than her family and the Lord. She loved spending time with family and photographing memories to share in the family newsletter. “The Shane Connection”. She was the family genealogist and documented the details of past and present family members. She was famous for her cinnamon rolls and her smile which many students appreciated during her time as Food Service Manager at $437.

He was strong in his faith and was a member of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. Throughout her life she has been involved with many churches and social groups, the Auburn High School Alumni Association and the Auburn Grange Fair, having a lasting impact on every life she has touched. Music was an important part of her life. There was always music in her heart whether she listened or sang to her family and friends.

Corinne was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Fern Shane and two sisters, Wanda Gifford and Beverly Huff.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Robinson of the house; a son, Michael Robinson (Deena); a daughter, Tina Karns (Philip); two granddaughters, Rebecca Bowen (Jace) and Hailey Robinson; two grandchildren, Trevor Robinson and Daniel Karns; three sisters, Jessie Koci (Russ), Carole Marple (David) and Joyce Jenkins (Steve).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Auburn Community Center, 121 W 11th Street, Auburn, KS 66402. Interment will follow at Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, KS. The family will receive family and friends Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, 503 S. Topeka Ave., Burlingame, KS 66413. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church or to the Auburn Community Center and sent to Lamb-Roberts-Price Funeral Home, PO Box 194, Burlingame, KS 66413.
