Galentine's Day Auction in Wichita Falls, Texas

February 15th will mark our “Galentine’s Day Bachelor & Bachelorette Auction.”

Come out and bid, the winning “couples” will receive $100 towards their date at McBride’s Steakhouse to spend on food and drinks. All proceeds raised from the event will go to the firefighters involved.

Here are just some of the good people you can bid on.

Eric

Eric is 23 and works as a full time paramedic at AMR and volunteers at Bowman VFD on his days off. He has been a paramedic for nearly three years and is interested in becoming a flight medic. Eric had a… year-and-a-half black lab named Gus. In his spare time he enjoys shooting, riding motorcycles and training his dog.

Chief William

Chief Norris has been a volunteer firefighter for over 25 years and has been the head of Friberg-Cooper VFD since its founding in 2006. He is also the head of the County Rural Fire Association for Wichita County. Chief Norris is also the Chief Mechanic of the City of Wichita Falls Fire Department. He is part of the Texas Strike Task Force team and is deployed throughout the state of Texas and other states during the fire season. When he’s not fighting fires, he enjoys traveling by cruising and camping.

Darcy

Darcy, 23, is an Aries who loves hiking and picking up cool, shiny rocks. Darcy loves dogs. He has 3 of him. But take note that she doesn’t mind a good cat. Being a firefighter has been Darcy’s favorite pastime since he joined Bowman’s Fire Department a little over a year ago. Darcy is currently employed at a natural grocer as a production assistant.

Devon

Devon is a very lively person. He is hardworking and always ready to help others. He participates in athletics since childhood. Fun fact, Devon is the tallest and largest in his family.

Eric “The Intern” 92.9 Ninth

Eric likes to work out, play video games and is a huge sports fan. He has tattoos for all of his favorite sports teams and if you bid for him maybe you’ll be lucky to see them all.

Eric Ryan 102.3 The bull

Born and raised right here in the great state of Texas. Eric has a job, a car, all his teeth, and relatively good hygiene. 6 feet tall 170 lbs. Ask him about his Peewee Herman killer impersonation (not the movie part). During your date, Eric can tell you about the time he partied with Dennis Rodman at Lake Texoma.

Jordan

Jordan is a junior prison instructor in Texas. He is ranked in the Top 50 for the state of Texas in his weight class in powerlifting and is a United States Army Veteran.

LeAnn

LeAnn has been a firefighter with Friberg-Cooper VFD for approximately 12 years, where she also serves as department secretary. She works full time as a 9-1-1 receptionist for the Wichita Falls Police Department and has been there for nearly 10 years and as a night shift supervisor for 8. In her free time she likes to travel, read and listen to true crime podcasts.

Matteo

Matthew is a lieutenant with the Friberg-Cooper VFD and has been a member of the department for 5 years. He is currently in school for his EMT license and serves on the department’s Fundraising Committee. He enjoys the outdoors with hunting, fishing and shooting in his spare time.

Ron

Ron is a lieutenant in the Friberg-Cooper VFD. He has been a member of the department for 5 years and is also a seasonal firefighter. Ron is a former professional rodeo cowboy and US Army veteran who likes to travel and enjoy life. He likes all types of music and likes to go to concerts and comedy shows. A long day of trail riding and relaxing in front of a campfire would be the perfect day for him.

William

William began his firefighting career at age 14 as a scout with the Burkburnett Fire Department and has remained as an active volunteer firefighter with Friberg-Cooper VFD since its inception in 2006. William is also a peace officer authorized. He enjoys spending his free time hanging out with friends, hunting, camping and just living life.
