Here are the Topeka-area wrestlers heading to declare this week.

The state tournament season for high school winter sports in Kansas continues.

Swimming concluded on the weekend and the state championships in wrestling are held Wednesday through Saturday in Park City, Salina and Hays.

Girls

The women’s state championships will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.

On Wednesday, the gates of both venues will open at 8:45 with the first shift starting at 10:00 Thursday, the gates will open at 7:45 with the fifth shift starting at 9:00

Classes 4-1A will compete at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina, 800 The Midway, Salina, 67401.

General admission tickets are $11 and can be purchased with cash or credit card. Tickets can be purchased at the venue or digitally on the Tony’s Pizza Events Center website.

Grades 6-5A will compete at Hartman Arena in Park City, 8151 N. Hartman Arena Drive, Park City, 67147.

The men’s state championships will take place on Friday and Saturday.

Grades 3-1A will compete at Fort Hays State University Gross Memorial Coliseum, US-183 Bypass, Hays, 67601.

Girls

The top four wrestlers in each weight class at the regional tournaments qualified for state.

Shawnee Heights and Washburn Rural won regional titles, each qualifying 10 wrestlers.

They will be joined by Seaman (8), Rossville (4), Highland Park (2) Topeka West (2), Hayden (1), Silver Lake (1), and Topeka High (1) as Topeka area schools to be sent wrestlers to declare.
