The Kansas and Kansas State men’s basketball teams meet for the second time this season on Tuesday. This Big 12 Conference meeting will be in Lawrence.
The Jayhawks (17-4, 5-3 in Big 12 play) enter the game after a road win against Kentucky. The Wildcats (18-3, 6-2 in Big 12 play) enter the game after a home win against Florida. Kansas beat Kansas State last season when the two teams met in Lawrence, but Kansas State won their first meeting of this season in Manhattan.
The Jayhawks will be looking to string together a winning streak after recently suffering a three-game losing streak. The Wildcats will be looking to sweep their in-state rival.
Kansas State is 1-25 at Allen Fieldhouse in the Big 12 era, losing 16 straight there, with the last win in Lawrence being a 59-55 victory on January 14, 2006 – Jim’s last season Wooldridge as coach. The Wildcats’ last three head coaches – Bob Huggins, Frank Martin and Bruce Weber – have failed to win there.
