STILLWATER, Okla.- Kansas State, rejuvenated by back-to-back victories over Iowa State and Baylor last week, faces its second Big 12 game of the season against Oklahoma State at Gallagher-Iba Arena on Saturday.
In completing their first conference sweep by beating Baylor, 75-65, Tuesday night, the Wildcats improved to 21-7 on the season and third place with Baylor in the Big 12 at 9-6. Oklahoma State, after going on a five-game winning streak, is now on a three-game losing streak, including an 85-67 loss to West Virginia on Monday.
Forward Kalib Boone and guard Bryce Thompson lead the Cowboys in scoring with 11.8 points per game, while forward Moussa Cisse is second in the Big 12 in rebounding at 8.1 and first in blocked shots with a 2. 1. Starting guard Avery Anderson (11.1 ppg) has missed the last six games with a wrist injury.
For K-State, Keyontae Johnson is averaging 17.6 points, second in the Big 12, and is fourth in rebounding at 7.2. Markquis Nowell is fifth in scoring with 16.8 points and first in both assists (7.5) and steals (2.3).
