MANHATTAN – Kansas State will go after its second home win in four days and a win of the season against Baylor on Tuesday at Bramlage Coliseum.
After losing four of their previous five games, the Wildcats (20-7, 8-6 Big 12) rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit to beat Iowa State on Saturday, 61-55, to move into fourth place with the Cyclones. They follow in third place Baylor (20-7, 9-5) by a game in the conference standings.
Baylor, who tied for first with Kansas and Texas last weekend, blew a 13-point halftime lead and lost, 87-71, to KU in Lawrence. The loss ended the Bears’ four-game hitting streak.
K-State won their first fight with Baylor, claiming a 97-95 overtime decision on January 7 in Waco. It was K-State head coach Jerome Tang’s first time facing his former team after spending the previous 19 years as an assistant for the Bears.
