Kansas City, Missouri, police see human remains at sewage plant

 

The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is now cooperating with the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office after officers found what are believed to be human remains early Wednesday morning. Plant in the 7300 block of Hawthorne Road just before 2.30am when they made a gruesome discovery. Officers located what appeared to be potential partial human remains. Police said detectives have been called to the scene and will work with the coroner’s office to determine whether the remains are human, where they came from, who they belong to and how that individual died. Police stressed due to the nature of the remains, investigations like this can take some time. There are no further details available for the release.
