KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Preparations are underway for Sunday’s big game at the Arrowhead.
The Power and Light District of Kansas City, Missouri is expecting a large turnout of Chiefs and Bengals fans for the watch parties.
“I think all the Chiefs and Bengals fans that come to Kansas City, whether they go to the game or not, we are just like the hot spot to be in,” said Power and Light Event Manager Victoria Quintero. “Second best place to watch the game, so I think the energy levels are insane and I’m so glad we’re in Kansas City.”
Power and Light may be calm now, but Sunday will be the other way around.
“High energy, we’ll have a DJ on stage, lots of giveaways, awards, watching the game,” Quintero said. “We also have the match clock and eat at the stadium.”
Quintero said they are preparing for bigger crowds as the championship match is KC. but the work doesn’t just happen there.
The sportswear shop, Rally House, is also very busy.
“Since they won the game, a lot more people have come to get gear for Sunday’s game,” employee Blake Baldwin said. “We have sold many shirts. There have been a few things that we’ve taken from the whirlwind, the most popular things that we think customers would be interested in buying.
Baldwin said they’re also getting more shipments and setting up shop for those last-minute shoppers.
“We’re going to do some cleaning, vacuuming to make sure the store is all nice and in good repair,” Baldwin said.
Both companies are doing the work to make sure fans have a great experience.
If the Chiefs win Sunday, Rally House said championship shirts will go on sale after the game.
