Local candy shops see lines of customers on their busiest days

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Valentine’s Day means big business for stores across the nation that sell flowers and popular Valentine’s treats. But two specific Topeka stores had their hands full Tuesday as the holiday was in full swing.

13 NEWS stopped by Nothing Bundt Cakes on Wanamaker to see how employees are faring this romantic getaway, and they were welcoming many customers looking for a last-minute way to show their love!

The store offers about 11 different flavors in four formats, from chocolate donuts to red velvet.

“We have last-minute gift options if you want to stop by for the gifts we have here in the store, or you can pick up a gift for yourself or your Valentine,” said store manager, Drew Casper.

No Bundy Cakes closes its doors at 7pm However, there is another Topeka store that specializes in chocolate treats.

Hazel Hill Chocolate had a line of customers out the door this Valentine’s Day looking for chocolate for their Valentines. The owners of Hazel Hill have even claimed that this is their busiest day of the year and the crews have been working all night preparing chocolate covered strawberries and all kinds of chocolates to satisfy the customers’ sweet tooth.

Hazel Hill is located at 724 S Kansas Ave. and will remain open until 8pm
