WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – QuikTrip’s new location in Wichita Falls opened Thursday.
Located at 1526 Old Iowa Park Road, the new travel center features a larger lot and more spacious shop than a traditional QuikTrip. It has room to service 18 gas cars and six diesel truck bays.
“We are excited to introduce our QuikTrip remote travel center in Wichita Falls. We look forward to introducing our unique QuikTrip brand and culture to our new community,” said Aisha Jefferson-Smith, Corporate Communications Manager at QuikTrip. “The Travel Center allows us not only to make meaningful connections with our new local customers in Wichita Falls, but also to serve travelers in this busy part of the country.”
QuikTrip stores generate an average of $1.3 million in annual state and local taxes. The company also donates 5% of its annual net profits to charities, including United Way, Safe Place, local food banks, schools and Folds of Honor, a non-profit whose mission is to provide scholarships to military families of those killed or disabled while on active duty.
“This location will provide 20 to 25 new business opportunities for the Wichita Falls community,” Jefferson-Smith said.
QuikTrip is reportedly in its 65th year of operation and employs more than 24,000 people in 16 states.
