Experiencing a high volume of incidents, Riverbank Deputies have responded to 514 calls over the past two weeks, including driving under the influence, thefts, burglaries and fights.
At 1.05am on Monday 13 February MPs responded to Atchison Street and First Street for a vehicle stopped in the road. The subject was contacted and after investigation was arrested for driving under the influence. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
Sunday, February 12 at 5:13 am deputies responded to Roselle Avenue and Pocket Avenue for a hit and run. There is no suspicious information.
At 1:09 pm on Sunday, the deputies responded to Target about a theft report. The investigation is ongoing.
MPs responded to a call from a possible drunk driver on Sunday at 7.02pm. They located a vehicle matching the description and contacted a 36-year-old woman. After the investigation she was arrested for DUI and booked at the Stanislaus Detention Center.
At 10:22 am on Saturday, February 11, Deputies spotted a 61-year-old man walking in downtown Riverbank. They knew he had the warrants, so he was taken into custody, transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center, and registered on the warrants.
At 12.12pm on Saturday MPs responded to the 6000 block of Venhaus Way for an assault. The investigation is ongoing.
MPs responded to the Galaxy Theater for five minors who had sprayed a fire extinguisher in the business on Saturday at 8.20pm. The parents of all five were contacted after Galaxy managers only wanted them to be briefed and released.
At 9.13am on Friday 10 February, Deputies responded to the 5700 block of Chancellor Way for theft of a vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
At 10:11 am on Friday the deputies responded to the 3600 block of Riverside Drive for a vandalism report. An unknown subject cut through the reporting party’s fence. There is no suspicious information.
Deputies responded at the 3100 block of Atchison Street to a company brawl on Friday at 11:35 am with a subject arrested for assault and transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center where he was booked.
Deputies were at Target at 3:07 pm Friday to report when a woman put several items in her purse and tried to flee out the front door without paying; she was issued a summons for petty theft and released.
On Thursday 9 February at 11.55am, MEPs responded to Ulta about a theft that had just occurred. Tracking devices on the merchandise led deputies and the Modesto Police Department to the suspects who had fled. Two subjects were taken into custody and placed in the Stanislaus Detention Center on multiple charges.
At 4:58 pm Thursday the deputies responded to the 2600 block of Topeka Street for a disturbance. A 45-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
Deputies responded to the 6400 block of Central Avenue for a family fight on Thursday at 7:22 p.m. A 34-year-old woman was taken into custody without incident. She was transported to the Stanislaus Detention Center and booked.
On Wednesday, February 8, several online reports were made regarding EBT funds withdrawn from subjects’ cards.
At 9:31 Wednesday the deputies responded to McDonalds for a hit-and-run collision report.
Later, at 5.16pm on Wednesday, the deputies carried out a traffic stop for lack of front number plates. Subject was subpoenaed for an outstanding warrant and released.
Deputies responded to a gun fight at 2701 Topeka Street Wednesday at 10:12 p.m. Subjects were seen arguing while one subject held a baseball bat. The report will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
MPs detained a 31-year-old man for a vehicle violation on Tuesday 7 February at 12:02. He was subpoenaed and released after drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.
Deputies answered 2701 Topeka Street at 3:51 Tuesday about a family dispute; reported as a verbal argument.
Deputies responded to the 3700 block of Texas Avenue to take a burglary report Tuesday at 9:09 am. A large amount of property was stolen from the house. The investigation is ongoing.
On Tuesday at 18:52 the deputies replied to Ulta about a theft report. Two subjects entered, took different fragrances and left without paying. The investigation is ongoing.
