Social media reactions to Florida’s upset win over #2 Tennessee

Florida defeated Tennessee Wednesday night, 67-54, marking the first signed victory of the Todd Golden era.

Going into the game, not many believed Florida would contend with a Volunteers team that has been dominant all season, especially defensively. The Gators can stand up for themselves, however, and quickly proved they wouldn’t back down from a fight. Colin Castleton exploded in the second half for 16 of his 20 total points and led the team to a win despite Tennessee’s best efforts.

This is the kind of win that will help Florida make the NCAA Tournament and it couldn’t have come at a better time. The Gators didn’t look good against then #5 Kansas State on Saturday and Florida is slowly running out of chances to pick up wins in Quadrant 1.

All of a sudden, it’s pretty awesome to be a Florida Gator, and fans aren’t exactly shutting up on Twitter. Here’s a look at Gator Nation’s reaction to the big win on social media.
