Travis Kelce SNL hosting date revealed following Chiefs SB win

Steve Martin. Richard Prior. Betty White. Tom Hanks. Travis Kelce? Fresh off his second Super Bowl win, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will host ESPN’s Adam Schefter’s iconic sketch comedy and variety show, Saturday Night Live.

The latest batch of hosts was revealed on Thursday, with Kelce’s debut set for March 4. Fans may not be surprised by the concert given his recent celebratory rants during the Chiefs’ run in the NFL playoffs. She probably needs to find her own voice instead of channeling her inner Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Kelce is among the biggest, some would say the most outrageous, personalities in the NFL. Playing him after the game and off the field can sometimes make people forget how dangerous the All-Pro tight end is until fans see him in action on the gridiron. Whether roasting Patrick Mahomes on the golf course or cruising the end zone for a touchdown celebration, Kelce keeps people invested in him beyond his athletic abilities.

Travis Kelce is no stranger to a television set, having captivated viewers with his search for love on his E! reality series, ‘Catching Kelce’. The 2016 dating contest show only lasted one season. The improv world of SNL can be a daunting challenge for a beginner, especially one who isn’t in the industry. Kelce has some solid athlete hosts to emulate, though, like Peyton and Eli Manning. If he can effectively harness his boundless energy, then some giggles should follow.

And if not, he still has that football thing to fall back on. It seems to be working quite well.
