WANDA LORENE SCOTT | Laclede County record

Wanda Lorene Scott, 96, of Valley Center, Kan., formerly Lebanon, died on Thursday, January 12, 2023.

She was born on April 17, 1926 in Lebanon, Mo. by Willis C. Holman and L. Pearl (Carden) Holman.

Wanda married Frank Stanley Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Edwin Holman, Vera Jones, Grace Cumbea, Vivian Jennings, Helen McVey and Fern Lewis.

Wanda graduated from Lebanon High School in 1944. She and her husband Stan worked for the Laclede County Library for years driving the bookmobile to rural schools. She later worked in the Lebanon Library on Harwood Ave. after the two libraries merged.

A devout Christian, she attended First Baptist, First Christian, and Southern Heights Lebanese churches.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue of Sedgwick, Kan. and Jo of Box Elder, SD; a son-in-law, Rick Winney; four grandchildren, Shawn Raider of Wichita, Kan.; Shawna Walker of the Valley Center, Kan.; Jacob Farrington of Olathe, Kan. and Jade Winney of Huntsville, Alabama; seven great-grandchildren, Oscar and Micah Rader, Dan, Joshua, Isaac and Philip Walker and Emily Green; five great-grandchildren and several grandchildren.

Wanda Lorene Scott’s memorial services and interment were held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2023, at the National Cemetery Pavilion at 1702 E. Seminole Street in Springfield.
