Wichita Falls Area High School Football Scores (February 18)

The Rider Lady Raiders took the lead over District 5-5A with a 4-0 win against Aledo on Friday at Memorial Stadium. The win keeps Rider (16-3-2, 7-0) undefeated in district play with a two-game lead over Aledo.

Henlee Wilson scored the first and last points for Rider and set up a Jimena Rodriguez breakaway goal. Mia Gilmore had Rider’s other tally with Kendall Toliver picking up another assist from a throw-in. Rodriguez and Ashlynn Knight had one assist.

It is the sixth consecutive shutout and ninth consecutive win for the Lady Raiders. They try to keep rolling when they visit Brewer at 7pm on a Tuesday.

PILOT BOYS 4, ALEDO 0

Rider continued his recent string of strong performances, winning a third straight game with a 4-0 win against Aledo in District 5-5A action on Friday at Memorial Stadium. The Raiders (8-4-5, 4-2-1) are in second place with Northwest visiting precinct leader Brewer at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Dylan Munguia scored twice for the Raiders, scoring in the 34th and 79th minutes. Munguia also provided the assist on Rider’s first goal, setting up a Rafa Ortiz breakaway in the seventh minute. Hayden Wherry had the Raiders’ other goal.

Ortiz and Ttus Blagg picked up one assist.

WFHS GIRLS 5, MINERAL WELLS 0

MINERAL WELLS — Hallie Wagoner and Jayden Johnson each scored two goals, sparking Wichita Falls High’s 5-0 victory over Mineral Wells in District 5-5A action on Friday. The Lady Coyotes (15-1-1, 4-0) finish the first half of district play undefeated.

Malaysia Larque had the Lady Coyotes’ other target. Brooklyn Amador, Wagoner, Addi Botello and Luciana Borrego each had one assist.

The Lady Coyotes begin the second half of district play at 7:30 pm next Friday at Memorial Stadium.

MINERAL WELLS 1, WFHS BOYS 0

MINERAL WELLS — Wichita Falls High put the ball in the net for the only goal in the District 4-4A game against Mineral Wells on Friday.

But the Coyotes blasted the ball into their own goal and Mineral Wells blocked numerous shots on Old High’s goal for a 1-0 victory.

The Coyotes drop to 11-6-2 overall and 3-1 in the district. They try to recover at 5:30 pm next Friday when Graham visits Memorial Stadium.
