Wichita Falls ISD High School Football Scores January 27th

Mia Gilmore and Ashlynn Knight had hat-tricks on Friday, propelling Rider to a 9-0 win against Brewer in District 5-5A action at Memorial Stadium. The Lady Raiders improve to 2-0 in the district with an 11-3-2 overall record.

Gilmore scored Rider’s first three goals in the first 15 minutes of the game. That score held into the break before the Lady Raiders unleashed a second half flurry of six goals.

Knight found the net in the 46th, 54th and 60th minutes, squeezed around a goal by Jimena Rodriguez. Abbie Haiten and Allie Vasquez added goals in the last four minutes to close the scoring.

Rider scored four goals from corners from Bella Pillow. Rodriguez, Henlee Wilson, Ashley Anderson and Haisten had one assist.

Rider returns to action Monday at 5:00 p.m., hosting Azle at Memorial Stadium.

WFHS BOYS 6, LAKE FROM 0

LAKE WORTH — Cayden Woodard notched a hat trick, leading Wichita Falls High to a 6-0 win against Lake Worth in non-district action Friday. The Coyotes improved to 7-5-2 for the season.

Marco Corona added two goals, while Francisco Lugo collected three assists and Fernando Gonzales contributed two assists.

Ayden Ramirez and Giovanni Anguiano combined for the shutout on goal.

WFHS GIRLS 2, BENBROOK 0

Wichita Falls High won 2-0 against Benbrook in a game where the final score does not indicate complete dominance by the Lady Coyotes.

The Lady Coyotes controlled the game, outscoring Benbrook, 28-2, including a 16-1 lead on shots on goal.

Malayasia Laque finished off a set up by Brooklyn Amador in the 28th minute. Amador scored in the 58th minute, scoring on an assist from Lucianna Borego.

BEER GUYS 3, RIDER 2

Gage Talley shot Rider by 15 seconds as well in the second half on Friday, but Brewer struck back with back-to-back goals and held on for a 3-2 win in District 5-5A action at Memorial Stadium.

The rider slips to 0-2 in the constituency and 4-4-4 overall.

Oscar Rueda put the Raiders up 3-2 in the 61st minute, converting a penalty.
