3 of 5 Topeka area swim teams find podium finishes at the state meet

The first state high school winter sports tournament in Kansas was held this weekend at the Shawnee Mission School District Aquatic Center in Lenexa.

The Topeka High (6A), Washburn Rural (6A), Hayden (5-1A), Seaman (5-1A), and Shawnee Heights (5-1A) boys’ swim teams represented local schools.

Here’s how each Topeka-area school fared overall, as every swimmer or diver who competed in the finals finished Saturday with the state medals in bold.
