Introducing: New products from PepsiCo, Kellogg’s and Krusteaz

KANSAS CITY – Spring Deals are bringing businesses together in limited-time partnerships.

Canned mix company Krusteaz is adding a sample of Nutella to its buttermilk pancake boxes, so consumers can try chocolate hazelnut spread on pancakes in lieu of maple syrup or other toppings.

Kellogg Co.’s MorningStar Farms brand is partnering with Pringles to debut two Pringles-flavored plant-based chicken fries products.

The plant-based chicken fries are available in Pringles original and Pringles scorchin’ cheese cheddar flavors. They contain 11 grams of protein and 41 percent less fat than other homemade fries, according to the company.

“Given our mission to bring more people into the plant protein space, partnering with Pringles seemed like the perfect next step in plant-based innovation for MorningStar Farms,” said Danielle Rappoport, Kellogg’s director of marketing, plant protein . “We are thrilled to build on the success of our most recent product launches and bring Chik’n Fries to MorningStar Farms’ versatile plant-based range, drawing on the enjoyment and distinct flavor profile of Pringles for a game-changing pairing. We will continue to show our audience that you don’t have to sacrifice taste to eat plant-based, whether you do it full-time or occasionally.

Bringing spring partnerships to the beverage department, PepsiCo, Inc. is partnering with Peeps to launch a co-branded spring cola.

First introduced in 2021, the Pepsi brand has teamed up again with Peeps to bring back the seasonal Peeps-flavored soda. The limited-edition soda features PepsiCo’s cola, paired with Peeps’ marshmallow flavor. Pepsi x Peeps soda is available in 7.5 oz multipacks and 20 oz bottles.

“We couldn’t be more excited to rekindle our partnership with Peeps, bringing together two iconic brands after the frenzy of consumer interest in 2021,” said Katelyn Meola, Pepsi brand director. “The collaboration is truly like no other – a deliciously refreshing treat, celebrated by two loyal fans, that brings unapologetic enjoyment to Pepsi and Peeps lovers across the country. With only a few fans getting their hands on the coveted cans last time out, we’re thrilled to give everyone across the country the chance to indulge in Pepsi x Peeps this time around.”
